• Designed a "soft-stop" crash pad capable of modelind the absorption of kinetic energy of a moving ASML wafer stage using 3D-printed TPU.
• The goal was to maximize energy absorption within a limited travel distance without exceeding a specific maximum force, requiring a non-linear stiffness response.
• Utilized parametric stiffness matrices to model the behavior of an array of linear compliant elements connected in a grid.
